Meet Chelsea
Hi! I’m so glad you’re here! I founded The Marrying Jane in 2020 after officiating the wedding of close friends. What began as a favor quickly evolved when the venue invited me back to create similar ceremonies for other couples. From those early experiences, I discovered a genuine love for the work and recognized a gap in the wedding world. There was room for a more elevated, intentional ceremony experience.
I believe every couple deserves to feel guided by a seasoned professional on their wedding day. Someone who knows exactly where to stand, what to say, when to pause, and how to gently keep things moving if a ring goes missing or emotions take over. Just as important, I believe your officiant should feel like a natural part of the day. Warm, familiar, and completely at home within the celebration and your story. My goal is to fit seamlessly into each wedding, sharing your love story with clarity, romance, and just the right amount of humor for the people who matter most.
When I’m not officiating weddings, you’ll usually find me boating on the lake or skiing in the mountains with my husband and two kids, working as a Registered Nurse on the New Hampshire seacoast, training my working dog for competition, or jumping into a game of pickup basketball in my local co-ed league.

Meet Laurenne (aka, Ren)
First and foremost - thanks for being here and congratulations on your engagement! Every couple has a love story worth sharing, and the fact that I get to be a part of that process is such an incredible honor.
After many years in professions that require public speaking and writing for an audience, officiating weddings has felt like such a natural extension of what I love to do most - listen deeply, find the right words and share it out loud. It is such a privilege to craft authentic and personal ceremonies that leave guests thinking, “that was so them!”
My approach is rooted in thoughtful storytelling that is deeply reflective of the couples standing before me, all wrapped up with confident delivery and hopefully some laughter - you deserve nothing less on your wedding day!
I’ve had a front row seat for what Chelsea’s done to transcend The Marrying Jane over the last several years, and I couldn’t be more excited to be on board with her brand for another season. Our MJ couples are the sweetest and have brought us to so many unbelievable venues and ceremony spots across New England. I can’t wait to see where we go next!
When I’m not officiating weddings, I’m teaching English to middle schoolers, wrangling a curious toddler and two giant dogs, or exploring New England’s seacoast with my PNW transplant husband.
