Bretton Woods elopement • Carroll, nh
Suzanne & Joe
Growing up an avid skier, I dreamed about officiating a ski elopement from the moment I realized they existed. So when Suzanne and Joe reached out looking for an officiant who was genuinely excited to embrace the adventure of the day, it felt like fate. While Suzanne spent the morning getting ready at the Omni Mount Washington Resort, Joe and I took full advantage of the mountain, skiing together as we waited for his bride to arrive. Just as Suzanne began her ascent on the gondola, a soft snowfall settled over the mountains, quiet and cinematic in the best way. Truly the kind of day that dreams are made of.

Brandon & Christopher
Imagine a perfect New England summer day along the coast of Maine. Sailboats drifting by, seagulls gliding overhead, and a gentle ocean breeze rolling in off the water. Can you see it? That was the setting for Brandon and Christopher’s wedding day at the Cliff House Maine. From the moment we connected, there was an ease and depth that made this day feel especially meaningful. Standing there with them, surrounded by that kind of beauty and love, was unforgettable. I remember leaving with a full heart, buzzing energy, and a quiet certainty that this is exactly what I am meant to be doing.

Julianne & Devereux
The greatest joy in writing Julianne and Dev’s ceremony was realizing how closely their love story mirrored so many of my own early adult memories. We all walked the same paths at UNH, shared the same dorms and classrooms, and grew to love the same familiar corners of Portsmouth. Writing their story felt less like imagining a setting and more like returning to one. I could picture each place as I wrote, and that sense of shared history deepened my connection to them and to the ceremony we created together.

Chelsea & Ben
Back when we first started writing their ceremony, Chelsea and Ben unlocked a lightbulb moment for me. They showed me that a unity ceremony can truly be anything you can imagine. Their hinge locking, featured in the second half of this clip, completely reframed how I think about unity ceremonies. Since then, I’ve written countless moments that go far beyond candle lighting or sand pouring. The possibilities are limited only by imagination, and that’s where the magic lives. Also worth noting, this was the first and only time I’ve shared a first name with a bride on a wedding day. A small but personally thrilling milestone.

Julia & James
I was lucky enough to be connected with Julia and Jimmie through a close mutual friend, and we clicked immediately during our first consultation. So much so that I had the absolute honor of being invited to celebrate with them at their reception after the ceremony. It was the perfect cap to a beautiful vow exchange, full of joy, energy, and the kind of celebration you wish you could relive. I had way too much fun dancing the night away to their incredible live band. Shoutout to The 1999 for keeping the dance floor packed all night!

Karen & James
Karen is my beautiful, beautiful aunt. I have idolized her since I was a child and for good reason. She is truly as beautiful on the inside as she is out, and we have always shared a special bond that continues to this day. She found her perfect match the day she and Jimmy crossed paths. When Karen and Jimmy decided to tie the knot and asked me to marry them after over a decade together, I was floored and honored to serve in the role of officiant for their wedding. I felt no guilt getting emotional for this one!
